Airway Transportation Systems Specialist

Systems Support Center (SSC) Coordinators plan, coordinate and perform a variety of assignments and projects withinthe SSC varying in complexity, with minimal supervision. They represent the organization as a primary technical pointof contact on projects and programs. They assist the SSC Manager with technical oversight of the programs within theSSC, work prioritization, and strategy. They interact with employees within and outside of the organization (e.g., ATSSs, Technical Support, Program Offices, Contractors) to coordinate maintenance, projects, and other daily work activities. They will apply risk management and mitigation techniques.The role of an SSC Coordinator is to focus on availability and reliability of the services and products provided to the users of the NAS. The coordinator analyzes the operation and performance of the NAS. They utilize the Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS) and DMT tools, and reviews log entries and RMLS for accuracy and completion. Their responsibility includes operation and maintenance of services and systems, technical direction of resources (people, money and equipment), and ensuring the NAS facilities, services, and equipment perform and confirm to their intended function.Coordinates work activities as assigned by the SSC supervisor. Analyzes system/service performance and user reports to verify system integrity. Identifies sources of technical problems and deficiencies utilizing reports, customer data, historical data/trends, and other technical documentation. Supports, monitors, and coordinates safety and environmental compliance initiatives and mandates. Assists the SSC Manager in the formulation of SSC safety requirements and budget, ensuring accuracy of equipment LOTO procedure's.Provide support in tracking OSHA and WIT exceptions. Assists in the creation and testing of emergency action plans. Acts as local technical liaison between Air Traffic, other government agencies, military personnel, law enforcement officials, airport management officials, local authorities, and contractors. Coordinates flight check activities and validates data retention as required. Compares flight check data with previous data. Assists specialists in troubleshooting and restoring difficult/chronic equipment and service outages.Oversees the generation of NCP's/Waivers and directive improvement, including assisting specialists in preparing required documents. Prepares NAP entries, coordinates CWP program activities and attends new facility surveys/requirements meetings. Provides SSC oversight of Facility Performance improvement Plans (FPIP). Coordinates and participates in JAI's in concert with supervisor, anticipating and/or eliminating potential local exceptions. The Coordinator at the discretion of the SSC Manager may or may not carry a workload; however, they should maintain certifications and credentials. To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-H/Level III or the equivalent FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience may include, but is not limited to:
Possess and extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships; and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation and electronics systems. Generally, experience at the next lower level, Pay Band H/level III or equivalent, meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the Demonstrated Abilities identified in this announcement.In addition to your resume, in the space provided under each Demonstrated Ability, you MUST provide a NARRATIVE justification on how you meet the this ability. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
