Plant Manager

Responsible to provide leadership for all functions within the plant.
Assure on-time production and shipment of conforming products and materials. This includes planning the production flow.
Troubleshooting manufacturing issues, handling staff issues, and monitoring production orders and schedules.
Prepare and maintain plant's operational budgets, capital budgets, sales forecasts and resource requirements.
Develop and maintain a favorable employee relations environment and work with staff members on their personal growth and development goals to assure that employees feel encouraged and motivated to contribute at their full potential.
Develop new and improved manufacturing processes that are needed to manufacture new products, and are necessary to maintain a competitive advantage in the market place.
Create and maintain positive relationships with internal, inter-plant, and inter-company customers to facilitate good communication and foster a team approach to problem solving and technology transfer.
Maintain and control plant inventories at optimum levels to meet anticipated demand without excess investment.
Develop and recommend plans concerning equipment, facilities, operations, and staffing.
Continually monitor results that are achieved in relation to planned goals, and undertake whatever corrective action is necessary to achieve the desired results.
Develop and implement Quality systems to ensure outgoing products meet quality standards.
Manage plant's project list to set priorities and ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.
Minimize accidents and lost time injuries by creating a positive attitude amongst staff for safety and providing prompt and effective action to eliminate unsafe acts or conditions as they become apparent.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field
Six plus years experience providing leadership in an industrial or technical environment, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Preferred Requirements
Master's degree in Business or related field
Experience leading Lean events
