Wesley Homes is currently recruiting for a full-time Cook I for our Terrace kitchen. The Cook I works under the direction of the Sous Chef in each respective dining room. Major responsibilities include preparing food as determined by the production list, preparing Heart Wise and modified diet foods, operating and cleaning cooking equipment, and periodically receiving food/supplies. Other duties are listed below. Full-time benefits include Paid Time Off (PTO), 403(b) retirement plan, and free on campus parking.
Essential Functions:
oPreparing food using standardized recipes
oPrioritizing work load to facilitate having food ready on time, but not too far in advance
oServes food with all proper garnishes and presents it attractively
oFollows portion control standards when serving
oReceives vendor deliveries and put away using First In First Out
oResponsible for rotating food supplies
oPerforms other duties assigned by the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor
oOther Cook I duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
oIs required to go in/out of refrigerators and freezers frequently each day
oable to work on ones feet for long periods of time
oable to bend, squat and reach numerous times daily
oAble to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
oUnderstands there is a possibility of cuts, burns, and falls even in light of good safety measures
Hiring Preferences & Requirements:
oHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
oMath Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts for recipes
oAbility to read, write and understand comprehensible English
oProven track record of outstand customer service
oAble to provide three professional references
oAble to pass a pre-employment drug test and random tests throughout employment
oAble to document eligibility to work in the U.S.
oAble to pass a background check through DSHS and WSP

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
