Wesley Homes Lea Hill - The Arbor Nurse Manager
Wesley Homes is currently seeking a Nurse Manager for The Arbor, a secured, dementia care assisted living community licensed for 20 residents located on Wesley Homes Lea Hill campus in Auburn, Washington. A Registered Nurse (RN) experienced in dementia care and program/staff leadership is preferred. A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with similar experience will also be considered. The Arbor Manager is responsible for program development, resident care and staff leadership to assure high quality of care and quality of life for resident in a person-centered, social model, secured dementia care assisted living. Knowledge of Washington State Assisted Living regulations is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Program Development:
oAssure design and implementation of a person-centered program for people living with dementia to assure they live at their highest level of independence and well-being.
Resident Care:
oConduct pre-admission assessment to assure appropriateness of resident for the care setting and assess care level.
oDevelop residents' Negotiated Service Agreements and assure they are accurate and current.
oDesign and implement systems to assure nursing staff accomplishes care directives in the Negotiated Service Agreement.
oConduct Resident Care Conferences and provide input for clinical care to promote quality resident services to assist each resident to attain his/her highest level of independence and well-being.
oFollow up on each resident incident with full investigation, documentation of findings and assure follow through based on findings.
oParticipate/manage, from The Arbor perspective, Washington State DSHS Full and Complaint Investigations.

oParticipate as an active member of the Wesley Homes Lea Hill campus leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education Background
oAssociates Degree in Nursing
Licensure, Registration, Certification
oCurrent State of Washington license to practice as a LPN or RN.
oCurrent CPR certification.
oWashington State DSHS Manager specialty training for Dementia and Mental Health.
oWashington State Food Handlers
Special Training/Skills
oKnowledge of Washington State nurse practice laws and state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities.
oExperience working with electronic medical records.
Work Experience
oExperience and/or training in geriatric nursing practice with special focus on care for people living with Dementia.
oThree years' experience in dementia care assisted living nurse management.
oDemonstrated leadership, public relations, and supervisory skills.
oAbility to speak and understand English. Strong communication (written and spoken) and problem resolution skills.
oThree years experience in dementia care assisted living nurse management.
Physical Demands
oGood physical and emotional health.
oAbility to walk, bend, stoop and squat for resident care and assessment.
oSit for charting, phone use, feeding of residents and computer use.
oAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and push med/tx cart.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
