We are seeking a dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team and provide essential care and support to young children in our family home daycare.
This position is from Monday-Friday 8am-1pm, our home family daycare is located in Auburn near Thomas Jefferson high school.
Duties:
- Assist in supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities - Support children's emotional and social development - Maintain a safe and clean environment for children - Collaborate with lead teachers to implement educational and behavioral strategies - Provide basic caregiving tasks such as feeding, diapering, and comforting children Skills:
- Experience in daycare, childcare, or caregiving roles (prefferable but not required) - Proficiency in behavior management techniques - Ability to work effectively with students of various ages - Knowledge of toddler care practices - Familiarity with special education principles - Strong classroom management skills - Previous babysitting experience preferred - Passion for working with children and creating a nurturing environment Certifications needed:
(These can be completed while on boarding) - CPR / First Aide - Blood-borne pathogens - Child care basics -Must pass a background check - Food handlers card (Not required but preferred) - TB test (Not required but preferred) This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.
